Primary care Physician Assistant New

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine or family practice, demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.

• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems.

• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

• Prescribe medications and other therapies in accordance with state regulations and practice guidelines.

• Provide preventative care, health education, and counseling to patients and their families.

• Perform minor procedures (e.g., wound suturing, I&D, joint injections) as appropriate to skill level.

• Manage patient follow-ups, chronic disease management, and coordinate referrals to specialists.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols and policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Current certification by the NCCPA.

• Active and unrestricted state PA license.

• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in primary care or a related setting.

• DEA license and prescriptive authority.

• Proficiency with EMR systems.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual [Spanish] a plus.

• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid populations.

• Familiarity with value-based care models.
